Whipping up a batch of handmade deodorant is inexpensive, healthy, quick and easy.... oh yeah; and lots of fun! This is a great project to do with children, the girls or solo. Well, here goes:

Wellness Mama has a very quick, simple recipe using only five ingredients two of which are optional, but I highly suggest using all of them. In short, tried it... use it... recommend it!

Becoming Peculiar has a natural recipe that is great for summertime wear, which doesn't melt in warm temps -- or at least not as quickly.

Busy At Home this recipe is more involved in that it uses probiotics as a preservative, I haven't tried this recipe but thought this concoction was worth a mention, and worth a try in the near future.

Gnowfglins recommends adding clay to the deodorant mixture for antiperspirant effects. Considering I already have bentonite clay on hand, I will be trying this recipe in the very near future. UPDATE: Tried adding bentonite clay to my mixture and it works great! I highly recommend adding it! This concoction has kept me fresh during hot/humid temps and even when I'm active.

Almost Exactly lists a variety of spray-on deodorant recipes none of them use baking soda.
